Sustainability at UNC Charlotte

The Office of Sustainability is dedicated to supporting the University in pursuing sustainability and environmental justice to protect the planet through education, research, and stewardship of scarce resources. We strive to create a campus culture of sustainability by engaging with students, staff, and faculty.

Get involved

There are opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to get involved. From campus events to volunteer opportunities, there’s something for you!

operations

A University operates a small city to support the mission of teaching and research, providing a home for students, and welcoming visitors. Learn how sustainability is integrated into operations across UNC Charlotte each day.

The Office of Sustainability collaborates with faculty, staff and students to measure progress, propose solutions, initiate changes, develop skills and share experiences that create conditions contributing to environmental, social and financial dimensions of sustainability.
