Position Descriptions

Students can gain work experience through the Office of Sustainability. The descriptions below are not job advertisements, as position openings will be listed on Hire-a-Niner.

The Office of Sustainability hires student hourly workers for the two jobs listed below. Position openings generally occur before the start of each semester and the summer term.

  • EcoRep: Conduct peer-to-peer outreach for campus sustainability goals and programs. Apply training on effective techniques to interact with peers, inform others and help them take action. Plan and support campus events and initiatives. Support events that are maximizing recycling and composting of waste generated at campus events. Must be able to work on scheduled event dates.
  • Sustainability Analyst: Assist the Office of Sustainability staff in assessing and promoting sustainability efforts on campus. Duties include analysis and reporting, event support and working with student organizations. Specific projects and tasks will be determined by a student’s skills and interests. Depending on the skills needed, these positions are occasionally advertised for graduate students
