Staff Engagement Programs

Staff are a critical part of campus sustainability initiatives, as they support and deliver the university’s mission. To help staff learn and engage with the Office of Sustainability, two new programs are being introduced in 2023:

Sustainability Ambassadors

This program focuses on the individual staff member.

Green Workplace

This program focuses on staff as a unit. The purpose is to recognize units that are addressing the sustainability goals of the university as they improve workplace practices.

NOTE: The Green Workplace program will launch campus-wide in January 2024. It is currently being piloted by units in Facilities Management.

The Green Workplace Program has benefited from the contributions of campus staff in an earlier program called Green Office that ran from 2015 to 2019. Here is a list of campus units that distinguished themselves in that earlier program.
