Office of Education Abroad: Sustainability and Study Abroad Resource

The Office of Education Abroad provides a resource for environmentally conscious students who want to ensure their travels while studying abroad are sustainable and have minimal negative impacts on the natural world. This webpage provides tips for making sustainable choices while abroad, the idea of a “carbon footprint,” and ways to reduce yours, and how sustainability is approached internationally.
Off campus
NC BREATHE 2025: Call for Student Posters

CleanAIRE NC is offering an opportunity for students to submit abstracts for the NC BREATHE 2025 conference on October 8-9 at Central Piedmont Community College’s Harris Conference Center. This includes cross-disciplinary research on associated environmental issues (e.g., air quality, PFAS, pollutants, heat exposure, social determinants of health, climate change, etc.), environmental justice, and sustainability efforts. Research conducted between 2022 and the present will be considered. Previously published research is welcome.
