Jenny Washam

Jenny joined the Office of Sustainability at UNC Charlotte in 2023. She graduated from North Carolina State University in 2020 with a BS in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology and from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2021 with a MS in Environmental Conservation. Jenny has a background in environmental communications, wildlife conservation, and environmental policy. Before joining our team, Jenny worked for a small environmental nonprofit in Wisconsin as the communications and outreach coordinator, working to bridge the communication gap between scientists, policy makers, and the public.

The Engagement Coordinator supports engagement programs related to achieving the sustainability goals of the UNC Charlotte campus, including events, communications, volunteer activities, and measuring program reach and effectiveness.
